Understand the structure
TCF Canada assesses practical communication. Writing includes three tasks completed within one global 60-minute period, so time management matters alongside grammar and vocabulary.
Prepare each task
Task 1 focuses on a short practical message. Task 2 develops an experience, account or opinion. Task 3 requires comparison of viewpoints followed by a personal position.
Manage writing time
A useful training allocation is 10, 15 and 35 minutes. These are preparation recommendations, not official separate task limits. In the official test, you manage the full 60 minutes yourself.
Strengthen speaking
Practise asking questions, maintaining an interaction and developing a supported viewpoint. Use preparation notes as keywords rather than reading a complete script.
Review intelligently
Keep a record of repeated errors and useful corrections. Review the patterns that affect clarity most often before focusing on rare advanced structures.
